Come and experience the down-home, nostalgic charm of a bygone era.

The Carolina Beach Boardwalk has been a top attraction for decades.  Postcards from the 1930s and 1940s show a bustling beach side
resort town.  The beautiful beach and refreshing waters of the Carolina coast have a magnetic allure.  But, it is places like the Boardwalk that make vacations extra memorable.

The Carolina Beach Boardwalk has personality.  Years of salt-spray, sun, and wind developed its character and tested its resiliency.
One of the last beach boardwalks in the East Coast, its vintage vibe is reminiscent of simpler times.

Today, tourists and locals are still being enticed by the same delectable aroma and melt-in-your-mouth perfection of Britt's Donuts.  That does not mean that change is not on the horizon.  This sun-faded landscape is experiencing a gradual renaissance.  Some may even say this old, unpretentious boardwalk is becoming trendy.

In 2008,  a "Boardwalk Makeover" campaign was created to preserve this relic of the past.  Free weekly concerts, fireworks, and movies at Carolina Beach Lake Park are just some of the family-friendly planned during the summer.  Many new businesses are sprouting up in Carolina Beach.  For example, the Ice Pick Hawaiian Shaved Ice opened up May 2012.  Rachael Ray's producers were rumored to be scoping out some local eateries.  Read more about this here.  There is even a walking Tasting History Tour of Carolina Beach.

"We love walking to the Boardwalk in the evening as a family.  We take our time...our daughters love looking for shells.  We might stop for ice cream at Krazy Kones or some Britt's Donuts.  Frank's Pizza is another one of our favorites."                   Adele (Owner/Manager)
